Full Childcare
Cyfeillion Bach offers full day childcare, along with the flexibility of morning and afternoon sessions or even rota sessions if your work requires it! We also offer earlier starts and later finishes.
We are registered with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) to provide care for children aged 0 to 8.
Cyfeillion Bach believes that learning through play and use of the outdoor environment is an essential part of children’s development.
Security
Cyfeillion Bach takes the safety of it’s children very seriously. We have 24 hour recording CCTV, bio-metric entry on our main door and buzzer/intercom systems.
Outdoor Space
Cyfeillion Bach has exclusive use of a large outdoor areas divided into sections for babies, toddlers and preschool.
Babies
Our separate baby room provide a cosy, nurturing environment where parents can be reassured that their “precious little ones” are cared for by our qualified and experienced key workers.
We aim to follow your home routines to ensure continuity for your child. We have a separate sleep room and changing area for the sole use of babies.
Toddlers
Our toddler area provides a warm relaxed environment for curious little minds to explore and develop with the aid of our qualified and experienced staff.
Pre-School
Our pre-school area offers a wide range of activities to extend development and to provide opportunities for various learning experiences.
Settling In
Cyfeillion Bach offers free “settling in” visits before your child’s official start date in order for you to meet your child’s key worker.
These visits enable you and, most importantly, your child to become familiar with their new and exciting environment as well as offering an opportunity to become acquainted with a friendly, caring member of staff.
Nursery Wrap Around
Cyfeillion Bach operates a wrap around service to selected nurseries and schools. We will take/collect your child to/from school for their morning or afternoon session and care for them at Cyfeillion Bach for the rest of the day. This includes snacks and meals as necessary.
Cyfeillion Bach currently serves Ysgol Panteg and Griffithstown Primary.
Holiday Club
Our holiday clubs are open to all, not just those whose siblings use our other services, and open all year round.
Activities are theme based using arts and crafts, outdoor games, visits to local libraries and other excursions will be incorporated into the programme according to weather conditions. Breakfast, lunch, small snacks and afternoon tea will be provided.
After School Club
Cyfeillion Bach collects children when their school day finishes and brings them back to our premises where they will be provided with drinks and afternoon tea.
Activities will be theme based and when requested, help with homework can be given. Arrival and departure between your chosen booked times are at your discretion.
Meals
Cyfeillion Bach recognises the importance of providing a well balanced and nutritious diet. All of our meals are freshly prepared by our cook, who is also a family member. No salt or sugar is added in the preparation or cooking of our meals. We ensure a varied menu which operates on a rota and is displayed on our notice board in the entrance hall.
A full day care session includes breakfast, morning snack, lunch and dessert, afternoon snack and afternoon tea.

Fresh drinking water and milk is available throughout the day, along with a range of fruit, from the snack table in the main play areas.
Special dietary requirements can be discussed directly with our cook, in conjunction with a senior member of staff.
We engage regularly with and are inspected annually by Torfaen Environmental Health. We currently hold a rating of ‘5’.
